The remarkable dominance of Patanjali
Who had ever wondered that “Yoga Guru” Baba Ramdev
would come up with such a brand which would create history? It is a matter of
only a few years and the progress of the company seems to keep on climbing up.
The turnover of Patanjali was around 5000 crores this year and he has already
set up target for the next year turnover. Patanjali has
plans to launch more dairy products and enter cattle field market. Ramdev is
aiming to simply double the turnover of 10,000 crores next year.
Ramdev is an inspiration for several entrepreneurs and
he is one of the most successful ones. The way he has dominated and caught hold
of the Indian market is quite appreciable. It is quite difficult to exist and
make your presence noticeable in the audience where the market has stiff
competition from various Multinational companies. He emerged where there was an
alarming need for more home brands to give stiff competition to all the MNCs.
When Ramdev launched Patanjali no one had actually
expected the brand would achieve heights but he proved all his criticizers
wrong and the company’s success is a strong indication of this.
The herbal and Ayurvedic products of Patanjali has set
its foot in the various segments of the market; be it cosmetics like shampoo,
soap, conditioner, hair oil, Aloe Vera gel, face wash etc. or fruit juice,
ghee, cooking oil, wheat flour and it also came up with noodles in competition
with Maggie. It is difficult to denote in what market Patanjali has not set its
foot into, it’s vast and numerous. The company manufactures more than 450
products.
It is the fastest growing FMCG Company in India. It
also has its own online shopping website for purchasing their herbal products. Acharya Balkrishna established Patanjali Ayurveda Limited in 2006 along with Baba Ramdev with the objective of establishing science of Ayurveda in accordance and coordinating with the latest technology
and ancient wisdom. It seems like much more prosperity is to come on Patanjali
way.
