Breathtaking rides becomes a hub at Bhopal Utsav Mela



Bhopal Utsav Mela at TT Nagar, a high spot for shopping enthusiasts of the city never fails to allure the visitors. Distinct and enthralling rides at fair is the major centre of attraction. New rides include toranto and tower. Visitors are loving dragon train and Columbus boat the most, free fall and giant wheel has always been a focal point.




“Bhopal Utsav Mela keeps on adding changes every year, this year Jhanki from Calcutta and our food zone is major attraction. Unlike previous year local stalls aren’t present, instead stalls from Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan have been invited from outside” said Santosh Agarwal, Secretary. “New rides from Lucknow, several cultural programmes, and social camps such as cancer, diabetes and eye check-up camp are also appealing the visitors” he added.
Variety of delectable dishes are present at food zone to attract food lovers such as stalls of Chinese food, pizza, chole bhature, momos, Paw Bhaji, Delhi chaat, aaloo tikka, dahi poori, Bombay bhel, Masala dosa, juice, sabudana bada etc. Desserts include Gajar and Moong Halwa, Rabdi Jalebi, Mawa Bati. Apart from this Handloom, carpets, Jewellery, breath taking rides, furniture, home decorators, kurtis, bed sheet, blankets, and key rings charm the visitant.

 “Young women are more inclined to purchase fancy neck piece, fancy jhumkis and Kashmiri style earrings whereas aged women are preferring oxidized neck piece” said Ishtiya Khan, jewellery shopkeeper. 
 “I have purchased shoes, jewellery and cushion covers. Since I was residing out of town, I have visited here after 14 years and it’s nice as always. On observing the changes I find cleanliness and proper organisation has been given major consideration” said Sudha Gupta, a housewife.
Until now Devi Jagran by Vaishali Raikwar and musical night by Akhilesh Tiwari was performed. Sapera group will perform Rajasthani cultural dance “Moru” on Friday. The coming days will witness various cultural programmes to entertain the audience such as Sadabahar Nagme, Mohd. Rafi night, Bollywood night, kavi sammelan, lohdi and patang mohatsav, dance talent hunt, kawaali night, comedy show, magic show, sufi night etc.
