The perspective for Policemen in India

"How many times do i have to tell you, this area needs to be cleared", said the man in Khakhi Uniform.

Wrinkled skin, grueling day and getting exhausted was his regular schedule. The old man was homeless now, reluctant to leave his habitat, his stubborn attitude ceased him to leave his home. He was intimidated by the thought of policemen- his perspective was not in favour of them.

The day had finally come, when he had to vacate his residence. The men in uniform smashed people who refused to abandon their homes, he had imagined the same for him. These circumstaces were not something new to him, he always believed the policemen to be insensitive and inconsiderate.

Wooden stick came closer to him, much before it could hit him; a sudden stimuli stopped the motion. The teary eyes had a moment of relief. A comforting hand grabbed his shoulders and gave him shelter in an old age home.

The man who had no family had companions now. It has been two years, his perception has been altered.

We live in a country where seeing policemen makes us nervous, rather than feeling safe- he pondered.
